Time to sell? Time to buy?

Here's a thought:

If you are considering selling a property and moving up, now is an opportune time! It is no secret that prices are down right now. The percentage you would be giving up by selling now in this market would be made up on the purchase.  The actual dollars associated with that percentage will be greater on the purchase if it is a move up. So you will save more than you lose. Even more, the percentage you give up on the sale may actually be a lower number because on the whole the lower end market is healthier.

Conversely by the same logic, if you are moving down, now is probably not the best time if you can help it.
